How to get rid of acne - The dangers of acne medications

To get rid of acne, doctors currently have about 200 different treatments to choose from. These include antibiotics, different lotions, medicated cleansers and even the birth control pill. Many doctors also believe that they can help acne sufferers by recommending unique, high-potency vitamins. I do all of this to help acne sufferers have unblemished skin. However, I ask: If these acne treatments are so effective, then why do people continue to struggle with acne pimples and spots?

Unfortunately, many acne sufferers don’t realize that these popular acne remedies can actually do more harm than good to their bodies. These remedies can actually harm their bodies. The result is that they don’t get rid of the acne, and other health problems compound the issue.

After much research, I have found that by changing one’s diet, a person can find a natural cure for acne. This will be another article on how to get rid of acne. Here is my research on the effects of common acne treatments on the sufferer’s body.

Oral antibiotics.

They include: Tetracycline, Oxytetracycline, Minocycline, Minocin, Lymecycline, Tetralysal and Erythromycin. In discussing these products, let me first point out that treating acne with antibiotics differs completely from treating infections with antibiotics. Why is that? Antibiotics kill bad bacteria and good bacteria. With serious infections, this is a calculated risk. However, some doctors prescribe probiotic treatment to restore normal intestinal flora. Antibiotics destroy both good and bad bacteria in the gut. A person with acne needs good bacteria in the gut to treat the acne.

The gut contains a balance of yeast and good bacteria. This is essential to keep acne at bay. When a person destroys the good bacteria, there is an increase in yeast. Also, a diet high in sugar promotes yeast growth. What a person has done is create the perfect environment for problems such as thrush, fatigue, cystitis, increased anxiety, mood swings, bloating and PMS. So rather than being a cure for acne, antibiotics have destroyed the body’s internal balance and made it even more difficult to treat acne.

Not only that, but treating acne with antibiotics can lead to loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, mouth pain and dry skin.

Unfortunately, doctors around the world are well aware of the dangers of long-term use of antibiotics, but they continue to use them to get rid of acne. They are therefore far from finding a natural cure for acne. Antibiotics are unnecessary to get rid of acne and get unblemished skin.

Vitamin A medications

The most popular vitamin A medication is Roaccutane. While it may offer some acne sufferers short-term relief, it is only short-term relief. It probably won’t help you get rid of your acne. Consider the damage this medication will do to your body in the meantime. Did you know this drug is so dangerous that a doctor must get a special license to use it? If you read the medical consumer information on Roaccutane, you see that it will damage the liver. The liver is necessary for the body to function properly and it is impossible to get rid of acne naturally if the liver is not functioning properly. So again we have to ask: If this drug is so dangerous that a doctor needs a special license to take it, and if he knows it can damage the liver, why is Roaccutane prescribed to thousands of people? Is it because they don’t understand the root causes of acne and simply rely on medication? The result is that many teenagers using this product develop poor health, which will accompany them into adulthood. Recently, in an investigation into the tragic suicide of a teenager in the UK, Roaccutane was mentioned as a contributing factor to the teenager’s depression.

If you suffer from acne, you have probably already searched the Internet for possible solutions to this stressful problem. Both on the Internet and on the market you can find various methods to get rid of acne and pimples, including potions and lotions. However, these types of products are expensive and do not guarantee 100% treatment of this skin condition.

Birth control pills

Birth control pills are effective as contraceptives, but are not acne pills. They work by stabilizing hormones. So when a doctor prescribes birth control pills to get rid of acne, people believe that acne is a hormonal problem. This could not be further from the truth. After much research, I have been able to prove that acne can be treated with proper diet and that by simply changing your diet, you can control hormone production. This avoids the risks and side effects associated with using the birth control pill. Common sense dictates it is better to balance your hormones naturally than to use harmful hormone pills. If hormones cause a person’s acne problem, then by balancing hormones naturally, a person will heal their acne and have unblemished skin naturally.

It is important to remember that the birth control pill also has side effects. These include high blood pressure, blood clots and stroke. It has also linked prolonged use of birth control pills to breast cancer, weight gain and even heart attacks. Another problem for acne sufferers to consider is that prolonged use of these products also kills good bacteria, making it doubly difficult to clear acne.
